IT laboratory

In the Library you find the Faculty’s IT laboratory. The laboratory is equipped with 12 terminals. From the terminals you have access to the Internet and Microsoft Office.

Furthermore, students at the Faculty have access to server space.

Students at the Faculty log in using their personal password as announced at the study commencement

(If you have forgotten your password, please contact our IT department, room 134)

  • Staff

Faculty staff log in using their personal password

  • Guests

Library guests log in as ‘bibguest’ (password: bibguest)

Occasionally, the IT laboratory is used as a teaching room; there is no admittance to the laboratory during lessons.

Additional terminals

On the ground floor there is an internet café with 6 terminals. In addition, there are 3 terminals in the multimedia section, including extra layout and editing facilities.

Access and log-in as in the IT Laboratory

On the 1st floor, there are 3 terminals, mainly for information retrieval.

 

Wireless network

Students at the Faculty of Theology have access to wireless network in the Library and in the additional wireless zones at the Faculty.          Conditions and how to log on

 

Printing and scanning facilities

The Library is equipped with

  • 1 printer (black and white)
  • 1 colour printer
  • 1 scanner

The machines are placed in the multimedia section, opposite the stairs.

Payment

Copying and printing from our machines requires the purchase of a printing card.

The card must be placed in the card reader at the right hand side of the machine.

You can buy printing cards in room 116, 1 st floor (Gurli Dettmann).

The scanner is free of charge.

How to print from USB or floppy disk

  • Boot up the PC in the copying room (012 B) and use your personal log-in
  • Place the USB in the plug or the floppy disk in the disk drive
  • Open the internet browser
  • Use the internet to open your e-mail and send an e-mail to yourself. Remember to attach the file from the USB or floppy disk
  • Remove the USB or floppy disk
  • Go to one of the three printing PCs in the multimedia section (opposite the stairs) and follow the directions below:

Printing documents

  • Log in using your username and password
  • Click on the icon “Denne computer” and find the document you want to print, or open your  e-mail by using the internet and find the e-mail with the attached file
  • Place the printing card in the card reader at the right hand side of the printer
  • Click print on the PC
  • Remember to close your e-mail and your document and remember your printing card

Please note that if you want to save internet screen displays, you must insert a Print Screen copy into a Word document and follow the instructions above.

Photocopying facilities

The Library is equipped with two colour photocopying machines; one is placed in room 012 B (at the entrance) and one in the multimedia section.

Payment:

You can buy payment cards in room 116, 1 st floor (Gurli Dettmann).

Place the payment card in the card reader at the right-hand side of the photocopying machine.

Transparencies

You can buy transparency foil in the Enquiry Office, room 114.

Please note that you can only use transparency foil bought at the Faculty or in the Library.


Seats for readers

The Library has at its disposal 130 seats for readers in the reading rooms. Students at the Faculty can apply for a seat  for one term (six months).

Student offices

The Library allocates 11 desks placed in 5 student offices at the Faculty.

For a period of 6 months as a maximum, students writing their Master’s thesis can apply for a desk  in a student office.

Cloakroom

There are 76 lockers in the cloakroom. You can place your bags in a locker when you visit the Library. Please note that the lockers are not intended for long-term storage.

Coats can be hung in the cloakroom.

Newspapers

The Library subscribes to Jyllands-Posten, Aarhus Stiftstidende, Kristeligt Dagblad and Al Hayat

You find the newspapers on the ground floor, immediately after the staff offices.

Toilets

There are toilets on the ground floor and on the 1 st floor as well as in the Sahva building,
