Submission of dissertation in the form of articles

The following requirements apply to the submission of dissertations in the form of articles:

  • Minimum four articles, three of which, at the time of submission of the PhD dissertation, must be accepted for publication in recognised peer-reviewed journals; minimum one article must be accepted for publication in an international journal in one of the principal European languages. The total size of the articles must not exceed 80 - 120 standard pages (of maximum 2,400 characters including spaces, annotations and literature sources, etc).
Dispensations being granted for exceptional circumstances.
  • The articles must be organised in a well-thought out order and begin with a summary report of between 30 and 50 standard pages.

Upon submission of the final project description, the PhD student must inform how he or she will submit the dissertation.
