Information for PhD applicants

Content of the degree programme

The PhD degree programme consists of the following elements:

  • Completion of an independent research project under supervision and preparation of a PhD dissertation based on the project
  • A course component that corresponds to approx. 30 ECTS points
  • Acquisition of experience in teaching activities or other forms of communicating knowledge
  • An opportunity to work in a supportive research environment, including periods of study at other research institutions, mainly abroad.

  • The Graduate School of Theology and the Study of Religion invites highly qualified students to apply for admission to the PhD programmes. Admissions take place twice a year 1 February and 1 September.
