The Faculty of Theology’s main research areas are based on combined funding from the faculty and the Aarhus University Research Foundation. The objective is to create strategic investment in initiatives developing from joint and coordinated research. Research areas are (usually) defined as two-year projects or four-year projects.

The following research projects have – upon application – been chosen as the Faculty of Theology’s main research areas: 

• Jews, Christians and Pagans in Antiquity - Critique and Apologetics

• Religion, Cognition and Culture
  (four-year research project)
• Ethics, Law and Religion (in Danish)
  (two-year research project)
