1) Normally, four lectures are held during each term at the University of Aarhus, preferably focused on a common theme. These lectures are generally aimed at a broad audience. There is always ample time for discussion. Examples of themes are Evolution and Theology , Chaos and Order , Health Care Ethics , Rationality and Belief and Complexity in Science and Theology .
2) There are four interdisciplinary study groups , which are concerned with specific subjects within the field. Usually they read and discuss recent literature. They meet approximately once a month. The current groups focus on the following topics: Modern Physics and Cosmology , Brain Research , Health Care Ethics and Biology and Theology .
3) The activities of the academic year conclude with a symposium which, at present, is a one-day event. Usually it consists of a lecture (preferably by a foreign scholar), a panel discussion and presentations of the results of the study groups. The evening is reserved for dinner and what is called "a professional-festive being-together".
