The conference venue is: the Faculty of Theology, University of Aarhus, Taasingegade 3, DK-8000 Aarhus C, building 1441. "The Journey Planner" can help you to find the easiest way with public transports. Train : Trains run every hour from Copenhagen and main cities in Denmark. See www.dsb.dk for details. The train station is situated in the city center. Take bus no 3 or 14 to get to the University. Bus: Buses connect Aarhus with main cities in Denmark and Europe. See www.businfo.dk (in Danish). Air: There are two airports located near Aarhus: Tirstrup/Aarhus is located 45 minutes away (40 km north of the city). It offers direct international flights to Amsterdam, Gothenburg, London (Stansted), Oslo and Stockholm. Buses from Tirstrup depart outside the main entrance 20 minutes after every plane arrival, One way ticket approx. DKK 90 which you pay to the driver in cash or with credit card. See Aarhus Airport for instructions. There is a university stop (universitetet) just outside the conference venue. Billund is located a 90-minute busride away. One way ticket approx. DKK 180. By ferry: Aarhus harbour has ferry connections to Copenhagen via Kalundborg approx. 2 hours and 40 min. and hydrofoil connections to Copenhagen via Sjællands Odde (approx. 1 hour and 10 min). From Scandinavian countries you can take the ferry to Frederikshavn or Grenaa ( Stenaline ) and from there by bus or train to Aarhus. By car: If you come to Aarhus by car there is free parking on the university campus, Taasingegade 3 at the building 1441, just outside the conference venue (see above). |
