Guidelines for Submission of Workshop Papers

Workshop Papers will form an integral part of the conference Reformation Theology – Reception and Transformation . It is therefore the hope of the organisers that many participants will present either Full Papers or Exploratory Presentations. Please find below clarification of purposes, formats and deadlines:

The purposes of WS papers are:

•         to reflect upon the reception and transformation of Reformation in the 20 th century and its consequences for a contemporary theology based of Reformation thinking

•         to offer new approaches to the understanding of the development of Reformation theology

•         to address in a candid and open-minded way the challenges of Reformation-based thinking in an age which has become largely post-confessional.

The formats of WS papers are as follows:

•         Full Papers (typical length: approx. 3000-7000 words) should be made accessible to conference participants via the conference website (www.teo.au.dk/aarhus2009) before the beginning of the conference

•         Exploratory Presentations (shorter papers or oral presentations dealing with topics vital to the conference but difficult to bring into a conclusive form)

•         Both Full Papers and Exploratory Presentations will be discussed in sessions of up to 50 minutes each: 15-25 minutes for presentation and 25-35 minutes of discussion.

•         Papers accessible via the website can be assumed to have been read by participants before the conference. Therefore, please present papers by summarising the main points and adding new perspectives rather than reading from beginning to end. Please bring around 20 copies of papers that are not already accessible via the website

•         Please notice that papers aiming at being considered for publication in the subsequent book should not have been subject to prior publication.

Deadlines are as follows:

•         Abstracts of papers (max. 500 words) to be sent to bbg@teo.au.dk by April 15, 2009

•         Full papers to be sent to bbg@teo.au.dk by June 15, 2009

•         Papers will be accessible to participants by August 1, 2009 . Access code will be sent upon registration.
